You've found yourself in a mysterious forest. It's full of danger at every turn.
You're worried the danger might be too high, maybe you should head back to town?
You've found a large tree!
There are enemies near it!
Will you fight?
After defeating the enemies you can now approach the tree.
there you find a treasure chest.
Will you open it?
Despite the darkness, you glimpse a small light coming through the trees.
You see an enemy ahead, it looks tough. There are two chests on the ground nearby, will you open it?
You have no choice but to move ahead.
You've defeated living tree!
The living tree dropped a chest, Will you open it?
Now that the exit is ahead, it's time for you to move on
Here you see plenty of townspeople. Further into town you think you see a shop. Perhaps you should get closer?
You also see a man handing out what appears to be a newspaper
Will you take one?
You see a shaman, you approach him.
"Hello there! I see you're adventurers! The enemies out there are powerful, it'd be in your best interest to prepare yourself"
"I can summon a creature for you to practice on"
"While there's no money in this, I can keep summoning creatures until you feel comfortable"
"I've held enough funerals for adventurers....I want to help."
You see a shop nearby, you think it might be good to stock up on items.
There's a fountain ahead, you realize you've never seen so much water in one place
Ando and Marie take a moment to reflect on how far they've come.
You've made it to the end of Magonlia Town.
Marie and Ando see a young woman with a backpack and a bow coming their way
The woman: "I see you two appear to be on a pilgrimage. My name's Julie, I'm on a pilgrimage for Solar Town"
Julie: "Maybe we should team up? It'd be safer if we traveled together."
Will you let Julie join you? You may not see her again if your paths diverge here.
After leaving town you see a great plain that extends as far as the eye can see.
The wind makes little waves out of the flowing grass.
You see small creatures running around in the distance.
You can still go back to town, but if you go further you know you will not be able to return.
A group of bats are coming your way, to go forward you must fight!
You see what appears to be bison in the distance
They're glowing yellow, certainly not the kind of bison you're used to.
They spot you! They're attacking!
You see a beautiful watering hole.
Small animals are drinking from it.
You see a few chests nearby labeled "supplies for pilgrimages"
Will you take a few supplies out of the chests?
You continue into the plains.
Again you see a group of enemies, you have no choice but to fight.
You see two paths ahead.
You sense strong enemies ahead of both paths.
To the left you see what appears to be fire. Perhaps something has set the grass on fire?
To the right you see what appears to be a snow storm.
Both paths appear menacing, but you've made it too far to turn back now.
The area around you is engulfed in fire.
The blessing of the Goddess is pushing away the flames, allowing you to move forward.
You see what's causing the fire ahead...
It appears to be a large fox engulfed in flames.
To move aheady you must fight.
The area around you has frozen over entirely.
Wind and snow storm around you.
It looks more like a tundra now than a plain
You see ahead what's causing the storm.
It appears to be a large Leopard, with ice shards coming out of it
You defeated the Flare Fox!
Marie, Julie, and Ando exchange sighs of relief.
You found a treasure chest, will you open it?
You defeated the Ice Leopard!
Marie, Julie, and Ando exchange sighs of relief.
You found a treasure chest, will you open it?
You've made it through to the end of the Plains
You see a city in the distancce, larger than anything you've seen before!
You've arrived in Aster City!
You see tall buildings everywhere and the road is sprawling with people.
You think you could easily get lost here.
At the heart of the city is a large statue.
The statue is of a man with a sword and shield, the original pilgrim, Red the Great. He first found the crystals, discovered their power and created a safe future for mankind.
There's a plaque below him, maybe you should read it?
There are several ways you can go, back South, North, East or West.
You enter Aster City West, the shop district. You smell delicious roasted fish from the stands all around.
There are merchants from many different towns and cities across the continent that are trading with the the city-folk of Aster City.
You think it would be a good idea to view some of the items in the shops to prepare for your journey ahead.
You find an arena past the Shop District
Here warriors from all over come to test their might
You think it might be good training to challenge some of these fighters.
Here you find the city's cultural district.
There are museums, libraries, and all sorts of statues of famous explorers, politicians, and monarchs all around.
You find a tavern in the cultural district and decide to stop by.
You find the tavern full of people, and decide to talk to the barkeep
Barkeep: "Ah, pilgrims, welcome! This round is on the house!"
"If you're trying to find your way across the ocean, I'd recommend talking with that woman, Ari, over there."
"She's a treasure hunter and is planning a hunt and hasn't had much luck gathering allies. She has a boat, which she might be willing to let you use."
You approach the young woman studying a map and introduce yourself.
Ari: "I see, so you're pigrlims. I could use some help, there's a creature I've been tasked with killing to obtain a rare artifact, its name is the Great Shark of Aster Ocean. It's ruining the lives of the local fisherman, destroying their boats and eating all the local fish."
Ari: "If you help me with this I can help you cross the ocean! I'm sure there's plenty of treasure to be found at the Cyrstal Lakes too!"
Here you find the Great Library of Aster City.
Books cover the walls all over. You think it would be a good idea to gather some knowledge about your adenture.
You found several books that look to be useful. Which will you read?
You see boats all around, you know that across the ocean lies the Mountain of Narsh, where the Crystal Lake lies.
You should try to find a a boat to use.
While on the boat, You reflect on your journey. You realize they've become much stronger you've become
Ari: "The path ahead is dangerous. I can handle myself with my twin daggers, but don't understimate the enemies out there!"
The boat suddenly shakes.
You find your boat is being attacked by sea creatures!
You have no choice but to fight!
The enemies are relentless! Another group attacks the boat!
The enemies have stopped for now. You have a moment to regroup.
Ari: "I have a few supplies on the boat for times like these. They might come in handy, feel free to tend to your wounds with them."
More enemies are attacking!
A storm suddenly arises.
Ari: "It looks like this is the Great Shark of Aster Ocean!"
Ari: "I see now why it's done so much damage to this land."
Ari: "Let's end this!"
The Storm heads your way, you have no choice but to fight!
After defeating the Greatk Shark, you gather its teeth as proof of your victory.
After arriving to the port town of Nubia, you take a moment to rest.
Ari: "The mayor of this town gave the me the job, I can collect ahead."
You decide to go further into town.
The Town Center is full of merchants, you decide to stock up on supplies.
The Mayor office is fairly run down, it looks like it hasn't been handled
The Mayor was a stout older woman, her face and hair weathered by the Ocean.
The Mayor sees Ari and smiles.
The Mayor: "Ari! I assume you have good news for me?"
You show teeth you've gathered from defeating the great shark.
The Mayor: "Wonderful news! I'd like to present you with the relics of our town. These weapons were used by some of the pilgrims of our town many years ago.
You thank the mayor for the relics and prepare to move on.
Ahead you see the Mountain of Narsh.
To your left you see a group of adventurers.
They approach you.
"Before you go, would you like to train with us? The mountain is full of powerful enemies."
Will you train with them? Once you leave town you cannot return.
The path ahead looks dangerous, you prepare yourself mentally for the battles you'll face.
You find a few chests on the ground left from Nubia's villagers for pilgrims going up Mount Narsh.
Will you open them?
Enemies are scattered around the path, looking to attack.
You must defend yourself!
The enemies are relentless!
You have no choice but to fight!
You've arrived at Pilgrim's Rest, a safe spot protected by a crystal set up by previous Pilgrims
You see man there dressed in a dark robe. He approaches you.
The Man: "Welcome Pilgrims. It's been a while since we've seen any up here."
The Man: "My Name is Gabriel, I'm a healer that tends to travelers wounds."
Gabriel: "In the past, I'd usually stay here, but the last few pilgrims to go ahead have yet to return and I'm worried about them."
Gabriel: "I'm a skilled healer and can help in battle."
Here you see some treasure chests, left from previous pilgrims to aid in your quest.
Ahead are more enemies, you have no choice but to fight.
Suddenly from the shadows of the trees a large crow appears.
Its eyes glow red as it readies its beak to attack.
You have no choice but to fight.
After defeating the Dark Crow, you come across a man with a plethora of bags, weapons, and items.
He introduces himself as a traveling merchant.
Perhaps you should buy something for the road ahead?
You near the peak of the mountain, you begin to see snow at your feet. It is now dark out, but you must find a safe place before you can rest.
Although exhausted you remember how far you've come in your adventure.
A group of enemies block the path ahead.
You steel yourself.
At the top of the mountain you see the moonlight reflecting on the ocean. The moon's size appears tripled from this height.
Although when you think about it harder, you don't recall the moon ever being so large or so bright.
Suddenly you see what appears to be a large snake floating towards you from a nearby cave.
Its scales are bright white, just like this strange moon. It has a glowing golden mane and a powerful golden gaze.
It appears ready to guard what's ahead. You know that it's blocking the Crystal Lake.
You prepare yourself for battle.
After defeating the Lunar Dragon of Narsh, you see the Crystal Lake ahead, buried deep within the mountain.
At last your adventure is nearing its close.
There's a chest here, will you open it?
The lake glows a bright purple, it almost looks like it's breathing.
Surrounding the lake are a plethora of crystals, you could easily take a few home to protect the town for years to come.
You place the crystals from home in the lake and slowly they begin to take on the energy of the Lake
Once they've been re-energized, you decide to head back.
You feel a mysterious chill in the air as you turn around. You feel a strange presence behind you.
You turn around and are attacked by shadows!
After defeating the shadows a man appears. You recognize him, he was the man from the statue, Red, the first Pilgrim
Red: "I'm impressed that you've made it this far, I've found ways to stop pilgrims for years now."
Red: "The crystals contain Planet Energy, the element that makes us all up. All life in this world comes from Planet Energy."
Red: "When I defeated the Solar Dragon, I knew I made a mistake. The Dragon was simply protecting this land. Now the the plants are dying and we will have nothing left."
Red: "A long time ago I made a pact with the spirit of the planet to protect this world, and I'll continue to do it!"
Red: "Prepare yourselves!"
You defeat Red, knocking him over. He's still breathing.
Red: "Why did you let me live? Do you too wish to protect this sacred land?"
You ponder for a moment, this could have deep consequences for the world.
Although you can no longer protect the people of this world, you and your allies decide to protect the Crystal Lake, as without it, no life could exist in this world anymore.
Gabriel realizes in his studies that there are more Crystal Lakes in different continents, and sets off with Ari to help protect those lakes.
Ando and Marie begin researching alternative ways to help protect the villages from monsters without the need of the Planet Energy
Thanks for playing, I hope you enjoyed Textia! - Andy
Having rejected Red's offer, you return to Amaryllis Town
The Shaman: "You've saved us! Now that our crystal is back we will live in peace for many years to come."
Ando and Marie live peacefully in Amaryllis Town until the end of their days.
Julie returns to her hometown and brings a crystal to them, ensuring peace.
Gabriel begins researching ways to reuse the planet's energies. We hope his research will come to fruition in the near future.
